Thịt ức gà rửa sạch, thái sợi nhỏ, ướp cùng 2 muỗng canh rượu, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt tiêu, 1 muỗng cà phê bột bắp. Phi thơm gừng, đầu hành lá băm với 30ml dầu ăn, cho thịt gà đã ướp vào xào chín khoảng 9 phút.
Đun sôi nồi nước, cho bánh gạo vào luộc khoảng 2 phút rồi vớt ra, để ráo nước.
Đun nóng 15ml dầu ăn, tương cà, tương ớt hàn quốc, 1 muỗng canh đường, 1 muỗng cà phê muối vào đun sôi. Sau đó cho cà rốt và cần tây thái nhỏ vào đảo đều.
Đổ thêm vào chảo nửa chén nước lọc, đun sôi rồi cho bánh gạo đã luộc vào, đảo đều. Tiếp đến cho thịt gà vào xào cùng. Đun lửa vừa và đảo đều tay cho đến khi sốt cạn, áo đều lên bánh gạo là được.
Bánh gạo xào thịt gà cay thơm với những que bánh gạo dẻo dai, quyện cùng sốt chua chua, cay cay, vị mặn ngọt vừa miệng. Hứa hẹn sẽ là món ăn tiêu điểm trong những ngày vào đông.
